The Power and Freedom of Vulnerability

Speaker: Lighthouse Workshops

Vulnerability is one of the keys to strong, honest, loving connections with others, but often, people don’t like being vulnerable. This fear of “being vulnerable,” can be very strong and visceral and often begins at an early stage in life.

Unknowingly when we are younger, we often adopt different types of behaviors in order to protect ourselves from real or perceived threats that we feel in our childhoods and beyond. Unfortunately, over time these behaviors that were meant to protect us turn into a fixed paradigm… an emotional, mental and physical prison that disconnects us from a more elevated way of living. And this “prison” affects all of us in one way or another.

How can we escape?

When observed from a different perspective, being consciously vulnerable is a pathway to our higher self. It allows us to connect and express our humanity, creativity, fluidity, and our presence in the present moment. The seed to our freedom is planted from our willful act to surrender our mechanized behaviors. This way of living takes time, patience and courage, but like any skill, the more you practice, the better you get.

Please join Rosemarie Ramsumair and David Owens for an experiential workshop guiding us towards self-discovery, exploring our comfort with vulnerability, and internal freedom.
