The Art and Skill of Being Fluid (How to ride the waves of life to discover internal freedom)

Life, like waves, can be unpredictable, and sometimes feel as if it is crashing into us, overwhelming us and swallowing us up.

We can sometimes respond by feeling unbalanced, hesitant, tense, unsure, and afraid that we will fail if the tension or attempt to control is not maintained. Letting go in many circumstances seems counterintuitive, nonsensical, and undesirable. But, how often does life teach us that the only thing we can control is ourselves?

Letting go with self-awareness and acceptance of what is happening, however, allows us to calmly adapt to the circumstances, and ride the wave while moving in the intended direction, even if there are some twists and turns along the way. This is the experience of being fluid.

Some may think that "being fluid" is not having a plan, being whimsical, or unprepared, but the skill of being fluid requires being relaxed, centered, courageous, and rooted in a sense of one’s self.

Please join Deanna Smith and David Owens for a fun-filled interactive experience that helps us learn to be more fluid and ride the waves of life with greater self awareness!
